Nordic Dotwork Tattoo

I offer unique, personal and meaningful tattoos in the style of nordic dotwork made by handpoking or machine. I design directly on your skin (in pen first) from intention and intuition to make your tattoo flow with your body and energy. Together we tune into what you want your tattoo to do for you, and call in the imagery and power of the old norse mythology and the elder futhark runes.

Getting a tattoo can be deeply therapeutic and transformational. In the process of co-creating a design that feels just right for you, I hold space for your intention, emotions and intuition to come through and manifest in the tattoo as a visual anchor on your body.

During the session I invite you to connect with the nordic heritage, the old norse gods, the wisdom of the mythology and the magic of the runes, if that feels right to you. I am especially into weaving runic patterns and bindrunes to support and serve you on your path, and to create runic compasses to guide you on your journey in the nine worlds and finding your way home.

If this resonates with you, I would love to hear about your project! I’m based in Denmark in the small city of Assens next to beautiful calm beaches, flourishing nature and lots of ancient historical sites.

My current daily rate is 5000 dkr ( ~700 usd/euro). Both smaller and larger projects are very welcome. Dotwork is a gentle tattoo technique and it is possible to do several days in a row if you are travelling to get here.

“It’s so much more than a tattoo. It means so much to me. Thank you for your empathy and your work, I love it! Can’t wait for my next project! You’re wonderful <3”

2. Preparation

How should I prepare?
Get plenty of rest, eat well, and stay hydrated. You can also apply tattoo cream to the area a few days before and shave the area if possible.

What should I bring?
Bring snacks, food, and sugary drinks to keep your energy up during the session.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the area being tattooed. Ink stains can happen! In colder months, bring warm socks, as the studio is shoe-free.

3. During the Session

How does the process work?
We’ll start with a coffee and a conversation about the intention behind your tattoo. I’ll design directly on your body, and when we’re both happy, we’ll make it permanent.

Does it hurt?
Yes, but it’s usually less painful than people expect. Deep breathing helps a lot, and we can take breaks whenever you need them.

Can I bring someone with me?
You’re welcome to bring one friend or partner for support during the tattoo process.

4. Aftercare

How do I care for my tattoo?
Gently wash your tattoo with mild soap morning and night, and apply tattoo cream. Avoid sun, seawater, pools, and anything that could irritate healing skin.

How long does healing take?
Within a week, the skin will close, and it may itch—try not to scratch! After two weeks, the surface is healed, but full healing takes up to 6 weeks.

5. Other Questions

Do you do commissioned designs?
Yes, I create personal designs that you can take to your local artist. Be sure to check if they’re willing to tattoo someone else’s design.
